Eight-episode season debuts April 21 with in-depth conversations across professional sports.

April 21, 2026Parity, the women’s sports consultancy focused on professional women athlete partnerships, today announced the launch of Athlete, Actually, a new podcast centered on deeper, athlete-led storytelling from across women’s sports. The first episode today, with new episodes released weekly.

The series features conversations designed to highlight personal stories athletes haven’t previously shared. The series premieres today with an episode featuring Dara Mabrey (basketball). Upcoming episodes will feature athletes including Taylor Heise (ice hockey) and Nicole Mendes (softball), with additional guests to be announced. Each episode begins with a short segment covering a timely moment in women’s sports, followed by a featured athlete conversation, and closes with a reflective, trivia-style prompt.

The podcast is hosted by Elizabeth Montavon, a nine-time national champion professional water skier, who serves as Director of Athlete Marketing & Social Media at Parity. In her role, she works directly with athletes to build their platforms and expand their opportunities both on and off the field.

Athlete, Actually came from a simple idea: when people hear the word athlete, they picture a certain type of person,” says Montavon. “Through our work at Parity, we’ve seen there isn’t just one version of an athlete. Women athletes are constantly redefining that identity, and this podcast gives them the space to tell those stories in full.”

“Everything we do at Parity is focused on creating more opportunity and visibility for women athletes,” said Leela Srinivasan, CEO of Parity. “We work with athletes and brands to foster meaningful partnerships that elevate women’s sports. This podcast extends that mission by giving athletes the space to share their stories on their own terms.”

The first season is supported by two Official Parity Community sponsors, regenerative technology company DNA Vibe and Sport Certified powered by iHerb. The podcast is available across all major podcast platforms, with full-length video versions on YouTube and supporting content distributed across Parity and athlete social channels.
